First Lady Michelle Obama and former President Bill Clinton are going head-to-head in a competition for votes, but not the votes of the American people. These two are hoping to win over the Grammy voters.
Both the First Lady and former President Clinton have been nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Spoken Word Album” category, which features audio books. The First Lady’s nomination came for “American Grown,” while Clinton’s nod is for his book “Back to Work.”
The Grammy nominations were announced last night, with Mrs. Obama and Mr. Clinton two of the five nominations in the category. msnbc’s own Rachel Maddow also shares a spot on the nominees list for her book, “Drift.” All the nominees will have to wait until February to find out who wins.
