Three right-wing hosts are among the world’s most influential stars — according to Forbes, anyway.
Political television commentator Glenn Beck ranked 39th overall and fourth in personalities on the business magazine’s most recent “World’s Most Powerful Celebrities” list. Radio host (and award-winning author) Rush Limbaugh earned 59th and Fox News host Sean Hannity 86th.
The three conservatives have an estimated $186 million in combined earnings. Each host landed a spot on the publication’s 2013 list.
No liberal personality made the cut, but political satirist Jon Stewart ranked 60th, one position behind Limbaugh.
Singer Beyonce Knowles topped the list of 100 people, followed by professional basketball player LeBron James and rapper Dr. Dre in second and third respectively. The compilation, released Monday, also included comedian Jimmy Fallon, singer Miley Cyrus, professional golfer Tiger Woods, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, and tennis star Serena Williams.
Forbes created the lineup based on earnings estimates from each star’s agents, lawyers, and producers, as well as analysis of social media reach and the number of times each celebrity’s name appeared in print and on the television and radio between June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014.
