Holy documentary Batkid!
The story of Miles Scott, the little superhero who won the hearts of thousands and transformed San Francisco into Gotham City for a day, is now being made into a documentary, Batkid Begins, with the help of award-winning director, Dana Nachman.

Batkid Begins goes behind the scenes of the events leading up to the day that Batkid rescued a damsel in distress, saved the Giants mascot, and it also takes a look at how the event unintentionally went viral. The smiles made their way to Twitter and Facebook as more than 10,000 people, including President Obama, joined the chorus of cheers for Batkid’s heroic deeds of the day. “The story of Batkid is one of incredible generosity and positivity, where people said, ‘Yes!’ to each other for a day,” Nachman said in the press release.
Hoping to release the feature-film November 15, a year after Miles Scott saved Gotham from evil, Nachman is looking for everyone to come together once again to help with post-production costs. On Tuesday, she launched an Indiegogo campaign seeking $100,000 to make Batkid Begins a superhero-sized movie. “If we can get people who were touched by Batkid behind our project, the spirit of the day will live on forever,” Nachman said.
