Texas Governor Rick Perry certainly has a high opinion of himself.
According to The Des Moines Register, the Republican ended his speech at the Iowa State Fair Tuesday and when the moderator, who was from The Des Moines Register, thanked him for his appearance, Perry responded, “You’re welcome. I’m awesome!”
Gov. Perry may be paving the way for another presidential bid in 2016 after his 2012 attempt ended in gaffes and poor performance in debates. He also made time to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst, who is currently neck-and-neck with Democrat Rep. Bruce Braley.
