Robin Williams’ smiling face illuminated the big screen Sunday night when the San Francisco Giants honored their life-time fan with a special tribute prior to Game 5 of the World Series.

Williams’ three children, Zak, Cody and Zelda walked out to the mound wearing Giants’ number 1 jerseys with “Williams” on the back to throw the ceremonial first pitch. Zak lofted an emotional pitch to home plate where family friend Billy Cyrstal stood. When the ball hit Crystal’s glove, Zak raised both arms into the air and then embraced Crystal.

“We are honored to be here in support of the tribute to our father, someone who loved his hometown and especially the Giants,” Williams’ children said in a statement prior to the game. “For all of us, it is a tremendous delight and a little surreal to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of a World Series game for our team to our dad’s best friend. We could not think of a better way to celebrate his memory. Let’s go Giants!”
