In 2013, The Last Word tackled stories from all over the world of news in The Rewrite. Lawrence addressed serious topics like the triumphs and troubles for LGBT rights, gun control, and remembrances of heavyweights (both political and one actual boxing heavyweight), to the funnier side of news like Bill O’Reilly’s manners and sodomy laws in Virginia.
