1. Renowned children’s book author Maurice Sendak would have turned 85 years old today. Google created a “Google Doodle” to honor him. It’s so great.
2. Last week Mother Jones came out with a chart expressing the gender gap in Silicon Valley. There, women make 49 cents on the dollar, way less than the national average. So, really we shouldn’t be surprised by the photo that Dan Ackerman snapped of the men’s bathroom line at Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC). But somehow, the starkness of the image is just so arresting.
