At Tuesday’s confirmation hearing it’s Senator John Kerry’s turn to face foreign policy questions from the committee he currently chairs. Senator Kerry will be joined by Secretary of State Clinton one day after she spent hours fielding some tough questions on the 2012 consulate attack in Benghazi and the state of Al Qaeda in North Africa.

Later this morning Senator Dianne Feinstein will re-introduce an assault weapons ban nearly nine years after the previous ban expired. The ban is one step endorsed by the president in the quest to preventing gun violence
