Lawyers for a man who was scheduled to be executed last month told judges Tuesday that prosecutors withheld grand jury testimony that could prove his innocence.

An Alabama inmate who spent nearly 30 years on death row will go free Friday.

“This particular law is one of a kind,” Beck said.
