The activist group on the Mizzou campus, Concerned Student 1950, said they intend to keep pushing for more social justice programs and diversity at the university.
Starbucks responded, saying the change was to allow customers to use their own creativity with the cups, which have had a holiday theme since 1997.
Upon seeing the light, “Girls” creator Lena Dunham posted video of the sight on Instagram and joked “was I abducted?” Singer Josh Groban joked it was a sign of “impending doom.”
