How honest are you? The company behind Honest Tea set up unmanned kiosks offering drinks for a dollar on the honor system. They collected data on who left the cash and what they looked like. Here are some of the findings:
- Alabama and Hawaii were the most honest with 100% paying
- Washington, D.C., was the least honest with only 80% paying
- Women were more honest than men (95% vs. 91%)
- People with blonde hair were the most honest (95%)
- And how’s this for a kicker about an honesty experiment? The company’s founder had his bike stolen during the experiment!
