President Obama will outline his position on the immigration reform proposal offered by a bipartisan coalition of Senators Monday during a speech in Las Vegas—and according to a tweet by White House aide Dan Pfeiffer, the Senate plan is “very consistent with his long-held view.” First Read writes that immigration reform is too divisive an issue for the President to risk breaking up this fragile coalition in the Senate.
