Today’s male-dominated standards of success sound like a prescription drug commercial—the benefits don’t seem to justify the risk. If money and power are the cure, possible side effects include insomnia, anxiety and deteriorating friendships. Professional women struggle every day to fill the order of success and financial security.
To investigate a more realistic model of success without the debilitating side effects, Huffington Post is hosting “The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money & Power.” Brzezinski and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington will lead this first of its kind, women’s conference on June 6th.
As Brzezinski recently discussed, she hopes to “share secrets of success, especially secrets behind achieving the Third Metric,” and that hard-to-find truth: success doesn’t mean sacrificing personal well-being.
The schedule is packed with thought-provoking panels, like “Mind/Body Connection” moderated by journalist and television host Katie Couric, and “Do Men Get it?” moderated by Brzezinski.
