Apple will hold an event March 9, the company said Thursday, amid speculation that the launch of the Apple Watch was near.
The invitation said simply “Spring forward.” (Clocks spring forward one hour for daylight savings time the day before).
CEO Tim Cook has previously said the Apple Watch would ship sometime in April.

While the company showed off its smartwatch last October, it’s expected that the tech giant will give more details about functionalities of the device.
One key thing investors will be looking to find out from the event is how long the battery life is for the device. Some reports have indicated that it could be as short as 2.5 hours, which could potentially affect sales of the smartwatch.
Another thing investors will be anxious to hear more about is what applications will be available on the device at launch.
