In the wake of the deadly terror attacks in Paris, which left at least 129 people dead and hundreds wounded, there are several ways you can help victims and others affected.
Donate to organizations on the ground
The French Cross announced hours after the attacks, the deadliest on the country’s soil since World War II, that it has already has 300 hundred volunteers on the ground working with victims and their families to bring relief. You can donate here. Your donation will support the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ overall emergency aid efforts around the world.
Donate bloodIf you have relatives or friends in Paris or the surrounding area, you can alert them to donate blood through the French National Blood Service or by using the Don du Sang à Paris app.

Check in with loved onesFacebook launched the Safety Check feature Friday night, which allows users to check in with families and friends in Paris. You can do so here.
Show solidarity Facebook is allowing its users to show their support to the victims of the attacks. It allows users to switch their profile pictures to a French flag filter to show their support.
Twitter users in Paris have been using the hashtag #PorteOuverte, which means “open door,” to offer shelter and safety for those who were stranded in the city. Hours later, users in the U.S. returned the favor by using the #StrandedinUS hashtag to help stranded travelers amid airline cancellations or delays.
People are also expressing their support and condolences for victims and those affected by sharing an image of the peace sign with the Eiffel Tower in the center with the simple message of “Peace for Paris.” The image had gone viral on social media. after London-based artist Jean Julien tweeted it.
