Former Congresswoman Nan Hayworth will try to re-take her old seat.
Hayworth, a Republican who was elected in 2010, announced Wednesday in an email that she is trying again. The email announced that Hayworth will kick off her campaign to represent New York’s 18th District on Sunday.
Hayworth was defeated by Democrat Sean Patrick Maloney, a former staffer in the Clinton White House, in 2012. She has just short of $500,000 in campaign funds; Maloney started 2014 with more than $1 million.
