In recent years, Americans’ faith in Congress has plummeted. However, that doesn’t mean our lawmakers aren’t doing anything. In 2015, several notable bills were debated at the federal and state level. Take our quiz below to find out just how much you know about key laws that were considered in legislatures this year.
The bill passed but isn’t becoming law anytime soon. President Obama promptly vetoed it and there aren’t enough votes in Congress to override his veto.
This state passed a “fix” to the law shortly after it was enacted, but many liberal groups still thought it wasn’t enough.
The bill was introduced into both houses of the Tennessee legislature but has not advanced far enough for a vote in either House.

Even many weed advocates criticized the measure because it would have created a monopoly for just 10 pot farms.
In a statement the President said he signed the measure because it “includes vital benefits for military personnel and their families, authorities to facilitate ongoing [military] operations around the globe, and important reforms to the military retirement system.”
The measure cleared Congress on Friday December 18.
