- A pro-Clinton super PAC, Correct the Record, has been deploying “trackers,” people with video cameras who record rival candidates’ campaigns. Staffers from both Martin O’Malley’s and Bernie Sanders’ campaigns have reported seeing pro-Clinton “trackers” at their events.
- After making comments that compared the Iran deal to the Holocaust, GOP presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee insists that the response from Jews has been “overwhelmingly positive.” In addition, he says that he will continue to use such strong rhetoric and denies allegations that his language is a ploy to get a bump in the polls.
- Bobbi Kristina Brown’s initial autopsy report found that there were no significant injuries nor any medical conditions that could have caused her death.
- Dr. Jen Welter, a former women’s pro football player, just became the first woman to be a coach for an NFL team. The Arizona Cardinals hired her as a training camp intern to coach the team’s linebackers. Her first game as coach will be on August 15, when the Cardinals face-off with the Kansas City Chiefs in the first preseason game.
- The top policy-making body of the Boy Scouts voted on Monday to end their blanket ban on gay adult leaders in a 45-12 vote. The voting members said the decision was made “[a]s a result of the rapid changes in society and increasing legal challenges at the federal, state, and local levels.”
