Rebel fighters, unite.
The highly anticipated teaser trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” — a standalone prequel to the core “Star Wars” series — hit the internet Thursday with the force of an exploding Death Star.
The film, which will open Dec. 16, stars a motley crew of rebel fighters — including Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelsohn.
“Star Wars: Episode VIII,” the sequel to the mammoth hit “The Force Awakens,” is still in production. It’s slated for release in December 2017.
