White House employees earn annual salaries ranging from $42,000 to more than $170,000, official numbers released this week show.
Since 1995, Congress has required each administration to file annual reports listing the title and salary of every White House office employee. This year’s report included 456 individuals.
There are 22 workers who take home $172,200, including White House press secretary, Josh Earnest; National Security Adviser Susan Rice; Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting Benjamin Rhodes; and Senior Advisers Valerie Jarrett and Dan Pfeiffer, according to the 2014 annual report to Congress, which was posted online Monday.
