Before Twitter, before MySpace, even before Friendster, people were once limited to the likes of Oregon Trail and dialup in the early days of the Interwebs.
Squirrel-monkey.com posted a cool video sarcastically showcasing the wonders of the World Wide Web in the most analogue way possible. It re-imagines the dream of the 1890s in Portland if Facebook were invented in the ’90s.
“The Facebook,” as it’s described in the clip, is a “digital online internet computer web sightseeing” that “you can open with your website browser.” Just open your Netscape. And boom, you can become online friends with Alf.
