Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) came out this week and suggested that his fellow Republicans accept the president’s fiscal cliff deal of extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone but the richest 2%. On Thursday’s Last Word, msnbc’s Lawrence O’Donnell conjectured that Cole’s statement may have been authorized by Speaker John Boehner.
After the show, msnbc’s Chris Hayes and Joy Reid discussed the likelihood of this. Also, O’Donnell talked about having his old friend Sally Field on the show.
