What was thought to be a surprisingly wonderful novel for a first time writer has instead been revealed as the work of J.K. Rowling, the famed author of the “Harry Potter” series. Rowling admitted last week to penning the novel “The Cuckoo’s Calling” under the pseudo name Robert Galbraith.A Sunday Times reporter in London investigated that Galbraith and Rowling shared the same agent, publisher, and editor. The paper then “The Cuckoo’s Calling” compared to Rowling’s other works using computerized text analysis. The testing pointed to Rowling as the author and when she was confronted with the question, she confirmed it was true.While the book was well reviewed, sales were nowhere near Rowling’s usual numbers using her own name. The revelation sent books flying off the shelves, with sales jumping more than 150000%, making it the number one on multiple best-seller lists.”To those who have asked for a sequel, Robert fully intends to keep writing the series, although he will probably continue to turn down personal appearances,” Rowling wrote in a statement on her website.Sara Nelson, Director of Amazon Books shared some insight on the books popularity and the fanfair surrounding it’s author.
